It is designed toprovidemobile access to information that supports transportationwintermaintenance decision making, including route-specific wintermaintenancerecommendations, weather and pavement forecasts, and observationaldatato include FAA/NWS and RWIS observations, weather maps, and cameraimages.Please note that data access by the app is restricted topreauthorizedusers in select transportation agencies. The 511 San Diego mobile applicationprovidesreal-time access to traveler information supplied byCaltrans, MTS,and NCTD in partnership with the San DiegoAssociation ofGovernments (SANDAG). Maps depict current trafficconditions andthe latest incident and construction information onall interstatesand state routes in the San Diego region. Enhancedinformation isavailable for the I-15 corridor, including real-timedynamic tollrates for the I-15 Express Lanes, predictive traveltimes,suggested alternative routes, congestion information, andspecialevent information provided by Caltrans. Maps show locationsofroadside cameras and allow users to view current cameraimages;maps also display MTS bus routes, fares, and arrival times.As theuser moves through the roadway network, the map tracks theuser’slocation and provides optional text-to-speech and look-aheadspeechcommands for hands-free use while driving. Additional511-relatedinformation is accessible through the application’s“more” menu,including links to the @SANDAG Twitter feed andwebpages for local511-related services.

This applicationis amobile tool to access these documents via a mobile device andallowusers to view and email documents as necessary.On-line,interactive training is available, along with sales,marketing, andtraining videos. The app includes a search functionand a saveddocuments function, and ensures that all documents areup-to-datewith the latest versions.
